Vollrath is interested in reviewing new products from inventors. The product should be complete at the time of submission.

IMPORTANT: Before we will review a new product, we require the inventor to sign/agree to our Vollrath Idea Submission Policy and Agreement.

Vollrath Idea Submission Policy & Agreement

Thank you for your inquiry in submitting a product idea to The Vollrath Company L.L.C. While we appreciate your interest in sharing information with Vollrath so we may evaluate it, please be informed that under our standard policies concerning idea submission we cannot accept any product ideas on a confidential basis. We are willing to review your proposal, but only in accordance with our standard policies concerning idea submission, which are outlined below.

First, if you have a patent covering your idea or if you have applied for a patent, please send us a copy. Under these circumstances, our rights and responsibilities will be governed exclusively by your patent rights. If you do not have either a patent or a pending patent application, then the following policy applies.

You should understand that we only review ideas for products that are within our normal product lines. We are not interested in studying new concepts, but only innovative ideas that are concrete and represent specific ways to make new products or to improve our existing products. Accordingly, we will not have any obligation to you for any idea you send us that does not meet these criteria.

You should also be aware that we develop a great number of ideas on our own and others, like you, submit ideas to us as well. You should not be surprised if the idea you have is something we are already aware of. If that is the case, we will not have any obligation to you for your idea, nor would we if that idea is already in the public domain.

Our agreement to evaluate your idea under our company's policies DOES NOT itself establish any responsibility to you nor will it in any way create a confidential relationship between you and Vollrath. If we wish to establish any such relationship or create any such obligation, we will enter into a formal written contract with you. It will be that contract, and nothing else, that governs our respective rights and responsibilities.

In addition, it is Vollrath's policy not to return any of the material you submit in connection with our evaluation of your product idea. Therefore, you need to retain a copy of your materials when sending us anything for our review.

We request that you acknowledge your understanding of the foregoing policy and your agreement with it by signing a copy of this letter in the space provided below, and returning it to me.

Then complete the steps below (required fields are noted by an asterik) to submit your contact information and information about your product. Once you have completed these steps, your information will be forwarded to the appropriate product manager within Vollrath. The product manager will review the information you have submitted and contact you to let you know that either:

  1. We are interested in learning more about your product, for possible inclusion within the Vollrath line
  2. We are not interested in your product.
