Eliminating the need for a bulky exhaust hood increases flexibility for presentation cooking

Sheboygan, Wis. – May 19, 2022 – Vollrath Company is giving attendees an exclusive opportunity to see its latest fabricator component innovation – FlexVent™, a flexible cooking slide-in with downdraft vent system and fire suppression, at booth 4420 at the National Restaurant Association Show, held from May 21-24 in Chicago.

“Our customers wanted a product that would allow them to showcase their culinary talent in an elegant, effective and ultimately safe way,” says Brian Hedlund, vice president of Equipment for Vollrath. “The FlexVent gives our customers an opportunity to provide their guests with a unique and memorable dining experience.”

The self-contained FlexVent is both sophisticated and practical accommodating a variety of electrical cooking equipment – from induction ranges, griddles to sandwich presses, and even fryers – that can be easily interchanged. The included shelf is adjustable to fulfill a variety of height requirements that suit different equipment, ergonomic needs, and health code requirements. All cooking equipment is sold separately and the slide-in is not intended for use with gas equipment.

Ideal for presentation cooking, FlexVent expands Vollrath’s fabricator component offering, which can be sold separately or built into a new custom serving system.

The cooking slide-in can accommodate multiple countertop cooking appliances that don’t exceed a power input of 7,200 watts. A fully self-contained downdraft recirculating vent and fire suppression system are UL-certified eliminating the need for bulky exhaust hoods over the cooking area.
