Ordering Instructions:

Round Plate Covers

1. Thank you for your interest in Vollrath plate covers. Because plates cure with variations in size, we recommend that you send in at least two samples to ensure proper fit. Before selecting two plates to send in, please measure at least five of your plates at their widest point and choose the largest two to send in. Plate samples are not returned. 
   
   Note: Euro Foot styles are not designed for stacking and plates can slide off if bumped. A “Euro Foot Style” means that the bottom of the plate is rounded like a bowl and has no ridge, or not enough of a ridge to sit securely on the top of a cover. Please contact your Vollrath sales rep for further assistance.

3. After the sample is received and sized by our team, we will confirm the model number and pricing. Vollrath will guarantee pricing only on orders that have been submitted with sample plates. Order fulfillment is not guaranteed.
    
4. Custom covers will be slightly larger in diameter than sample plate provided to compensate for normal variations. We cannot guarantee our platter covers will stack solidly if platters are warped. 
    
5. Leadtime varies, but it generally ranges from 4-6 weeks from the date of order entry and is subject to change based on volumes
    

6. Free-of-charge samples will not be provided for custom plate covers. To order samples, a PO is required with an MOQ of 24 pieces.

   Plate covers come in case lots of 12. Custom covers are not eligible for broken cases.

Q: Can we create a double foot dover?
A: Yes. Please contact your Vollrath sales rep for more information.

Q: What are the size ranges for plate covers?
A: We only create covers for plates greater than 8’ and smaller than 13” in diameter.

Q: What is the highest cover you offer?
A: All of our covers are only 2.88-3”. Our tooling does not allow for anything taller.

Q: Do you offer square covers?
A: No. We do not manufacturer square plate covers.

Q: Do you offer oval covers?
A: No. We no longer manufacture oval plate covers.

Q: Can I order a PLC-XXX?
A: No. These are only placeholders for pricing and sizing parameters. They are not orderable numbers, and a sample needs to be sent in to determine the item number prior to ordering.

Q: Can I order a custom cover without sending in a plate sample?
A: No. All custom covers need to have a plate sample verified by the sizing team.
