Chef Zoë François Bio
Describing herself as someone who plays with sugar and takes the mystery out of baking, Zoë François is also a teacher, bestselling author of 10 cookbooks, photographer, and Emmy-nominated TV host.
Growing up in a commune in Vermont, Zoë has been baking since childhood. After graduating from the University of Vermont, she studied at the Culinary Institute of America. She’s worked as a pastry chef at several Twin Cities, Minnesota, restaurants and continues to develop pastry menus as a freelancer. In addition to her Emmy nomination for a holiday special she hosted with Andrew Zimmern, Zoë hosts her own TV show, “Zoë Bakes,” on the Magnolia Network.
Her bestselling cookbooks include the “Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day” eight-cookbook series, as well as “Zoë Bakes Cakes” and “Zoë Bakes Cookies.” She’s been teaching baking classes for 30 years, and you can find more of her creations on YouTube and on Substack.
